Got a character bug

I was playing Starbound today when all of a sudden the game crashed on me. Upon reloading that character, I get an error message, "Exception caught in client main-loop (LuaComponentException) Cannot call LuaWorldComponent::setScripts when LuaWorldComponent is initialized" and it goes back to the start screen or a really nasty looking long error readout and total game crash. The research I have done has lead me to believe I have a double item in my inventory bar but I have no clue how to edit these files. I tried following a tutorial on steam but with no success.
