That's a bit sad, maybe you or someone can do it one day!

 

I have the sprites already made, I just don't know how to add it...

 

Well I think it has something to do with the tech station or the ship locker. The pets probably spawn from there. Maybe you can check?

 

pets spawn from the pet station, but I can't find where in the coding they actually do spawn.
