Getting to the Desert/Skull Cavern before repairing the Bus and before 10 AM

So yea you can get to the mines before repairing the bus and before 10 am.

 

Having watched two videos of this (both the one in your post and the Reddit thread) I am amazed that someone found this glitch. I'd say you people have too much free time, but clearly since I'm watching it happen, I must as well. Wow.

As stated in the Reddit post I found it by trying to trap a friend and then blow him up in that room
