Server Help Frustrating Server Hosting Problem

    So basically I've created a server and am hosting it on a separate machine from the one I play client on. I can connect to this server using local IP, from the host machine and from my other computer. However, using the host computer's host ip to connect (i.e. what my friends have to use) spits out the "Network Exception: Cannot connect to <ip>: A" error.

    I have port forwarded the correct port on my router, set a static IP on the host machine, and allowed Starbound through every firewall I could find, on the computer and router both.

    Basically, this is very frustrating since I have no idea what the problem is :)
