As you may know, fruit trees don't grow if there's anything in the adjacent tiles (like grass, which is weird). My fruit tree just spent almost an entire month surrounded by grass and that's extra month that I'll have to wait for it to rank up. Because of this, it would be extremely helpful to get warnings -such as exclamation points above said tree- that tell you that your tree(s) has stopped growing. Either that or allow fruit trees to continue growing even if surrounded by grass (weeds, tree limbs, and large rocks should be constrictive).
Yeah, I think the only thing that should block fruit tree growth or aging is a fully grown regular tree directly adjacent. It would be a very nice feature to get a little visual indication on the tree itself if it is blocked from growth or aging. This could simply be a 'inventory' notification like when you pick up new items or inventory is full.
