"Zeta...... Is...... No longer with us."

 

"That's impossible..."

 

"I cared greatly for her, and someone I trusted above all others took her from this world."

 

"Was she kidnapped?" Avel gasped

 

Grey slowly shook his head. "Dead."

 

"She can't be dead...knowing Zeta, she is probably still alive..."

 

"I saw it happen!" Grey hung his head. "She's gone."

 

"What do you mean you saw it happen?" Avel crossed her arms

 

"I had a great view from my position on the ground from when she shot me." Lying will make things so much worse.

 

"Wait...what were you doing to her?"

 

Grey racked his memories. "Getting... Betrayed I think."

 

"She isn't the type to just betray someone like that...maybe you got her mistaken for somebody else."

 

"Zeta Goldfeathers."

 

"....so you did meet her?"
Avel sounds slightly worried.

 

"And.... I killed her." Grey's voice is wracked with shame and anger.

 

Avel started to back away from grey
"N...No....this is just a cruel joke...any second now you are going to tell me that."

 

Grey laughed bitterly. "Life's a cruel joke. If it means anything, the person who I once was died that day."

 

"N-No! She can't be dead!"
