and another case of "i though about making this myself but somebody else already made it" in starbound. the font and list is so much better

 

I wish it were possible to allow folders to be selected and opened instead of seeing all the songs at once.
I have several folders and all the songs show up at once and it gets annoying to go through them all .

 

That'd be a cool feature but I have no clue if you are able to mod the interface to that extent right now.

I want to, when we're able to, add a search field so you can filter songs exactly how you filter items in the crafting window.

 

how do i get all the songs like in the picture

 

There's a couple of forum threads on here with lots of downloadable songs. Google will also give you a lot of sources.

 

Why is all the songs in alphabetical order backwards Z-A?

 

All generated lists in starbound are from largest to smallest entry because they are sorted lists. when counting trough list entries of a variable length (to display its entries), it is more efficient to count down than to count up, because 0 aborts the counting and you don't have to remember how long the list is to stop counting.

also when counting up. true programmers count "0,1,2,3,4..." and not "1,2,3,4" like all the ancient people.

omg this is awesome

 

this could need a wider version because some names are quite long.

 

I could make the songbook slightly wider but I haven't really run into this problem...

Right now it should be able to show around 30 characters.

Could you give me an example of a song?
