RP Emergence of the Forgotten

When Joseph opened the book, a long list of names lay upon the first page, most of the names written followed by the name of one of the Five Families and what round they made it to. As he skimmed through the rest of the book, there were multiple pages that were blank, separating the names into many sets of lists. The column that had held the names of the Five Families became sparser the more of these breaks occurred, until the last five only had one or two names out of over one hundred names each. The last of these sets lacked any names in that column, though one had a line in that column, which had appeared three times prior, the first two in the first list and the other in the previous list.

After handing the book over to Joseph, Ivan turned around and walked off again, this time returning with five horses, one of which was noticeably larger than the others. “We can’t use magic to cross the distance from here to the border, so we’ll have to head through the forests below and take a detour.” He draws a rough map of Tredat in the dirt and drew a few symbols including a circle. “A straight journey to the border is blocked by this swamp right here, so we have to take a day’s trip avoiding that in order to get to the border. In addition, we’ll have to wait at several points for Vivienne to return to make sure we’re actually following the right path, because it is quite easy to get lost.” He pointed at a small house drawn near the border. “Chances are we’ll likely want to stop here when we get there since with this plan we’ll be arriving there around dusk and beyond this point there are some treacherous paths leading to the border.” Without waiting for the others to react he walked over to one of the horses and mounted it, turning his head towards Joseph. “Keep that book safe since we don’t want it getting too damaged before more pages have to be added.”

 

Joseph put away the book in his bag. 'I'll have to look at it later then, seems important.' He walked up to the horse next to Ivan, a white mare speckled with black spots. 'So a days ride through a forest huh? Shouldn't be too hard.' He took another look at Ivan. "This guy certainly seems up to the job for protecting people, he seems to be able to take plenty of hits, and dish them out in turn...."

 

"Hmm, it seems i don't have a horse.. Guess i'll be walking then.."
