Ive left a review a long time ago but this mod is legit better than the vanilla game.
I have another problem to report. I can't pick the "arm ring" on the pile of junk located in an abandoned room below the "Starfarers Refugee".
I'm currently working on a fix for this! A new update that patches this issue will be released sometime soon, but if you need the item now you can spawn it in with the following command (while in admin mode, of course): /spawnitem avikanarmring

Hi, its me again. I have another bug or maybe somekind of glitch to report. So, I complete an Avikan NPC quest, then he/she turns in to a "chemist", but the problem is that he/she wears the default yellow protectorate uniform, and not the special outfit for the Avikan crew. So it is kinda glitching around his/her body. Do the Avikan even have the "chemist" class? Because I never seen one. Sorry, I can't give the screenshot (technical problem), and if I report too much.
Edit - I think the Avikan did have "chemist", my bad.
I've seen this too, sometimes an Avikan will change into the protectorate uniform after you do a quest for them and they become recruitable. However, I also had one wear their same clothes but it was one that randomly asked to join the crew and not one I had done a quest for.
Okay... I think its getting worse now. Almost all the recruitable Avikan are now wearing the default protectorate uniform.
Where are you recruiting these Avikan? The Avikan NPCs in settlements and such should all be using custom NPC types that only allow them to convert into the proper Avikan crewmembers. If they're wearing a vanilla Protectorate uniform, that likely means that you (for example) encountered Avikan using the vanilla "villager" configuration rather than the custom "avikanvillager" configuration. Knowing where you encountered these Avikan may help in locating wrongfully configured NPCs! The more details about their location you can give, the better!
Well, I met them in a huge bunker-like Avikan base. There are two keff garage at each end of the base (which only keff rider can enter it, non keff rider will have to use the middle entrance). There are also a vast water reserve beneath the base. I don't know the specific name for this kind of settlement, sorry. But I am pretty sure that settlement is a mod-made settlement. I hope the information helps, but if you need more details, I will gladly provide and help you.
Thanks, that gives me a good indication of where to start looking for these faulty NPCs! Do you remember what rooms/areas of the settlement you found these NPCs in?
I think it could be better if you screenshotted the place where you got those protectorate-uniformed Avikans. Aegonian can then check the relevant structures for incorrect spawners.
Hmm... I am not sure. There are a lot of them, and they keep wandering randomly around the bunker, but I will try to explain it. So, the "chemist" type crew, I completed his quest when he is in the market (the area in the middle), and there is also a "soldier" crew type that are also faulty, I completed his quest when he is in the bedroom (the area above the underground platform). There is also the "mechanic" and bunch others that I don't think so I can mention it all.
I would like to give the screenshot, but like what I said before I have a technical reason for that.
Just an addition, I also found that some rescued Avikan NPC from the quest doesn't where the upper clothes. So, is that normal?

mmmh, weird. Ok, so, there is no changes in the dungeon files for avikan colony between 2.3.8 and 2.3.4 (halloween update) or 2.3.3. So there's no way the error lies in the dungeon files. And then I checked the NPC files, no change. I double-checked the github, and yeah, there seems to be no indication what's causing this bug. At least on this mod's side, that is.
I think I know what causes the issue now, and it's not actually related to the settlements: if you complete an escort/kidnapping-style generated quest, that quest creates a new Avikan NPC with the regular villager NPC type. If that NPC then ends up giving you a quest and it turns into a recruitable crewmember, it'll have the vanilla Protectorate uniform equipped. I think I can fix this by creating a custom set of questtemplates for the Avikan to offer!

neato! can you make a armoured Version too? With bone or metal plates?
Ah yeah, a clothing piece like that would be cool! Ponchos can be hard to implement due to the way arm sprites work, but the Akkimari have a type of poncho implemented so I should be able to do something similar for the Avikan.
