Modding Help editing the default sprites

G'day modders. I'm sure this has been asked before, but I had a bit of a look through the forums and couldn't find anything other than new races, which is more than what I want to be doing.
I find the default dot eyes and body designs kind of boring. but as a simple artist I'm not good with coding and such. I found a mod called cutebound which is fun but doesn't take my idea far enough. So, I'm wondering if there is a simple way to pull out the default races character sprites, edit them, and throw them back in again without too much mess around? and even further, the default clothing and armors? I don't really want to be editing anything other than the appearance of characters.

 

Yup, that is indeed possible. You should be able to find the race sprites inside the humanoid folder. Regarding the clothing and armors, if you meant that you want to edit them, you can find the sprites inside the armors folder which is located in the items folder.
