DNA Splicing, what would you create?

I am aware that a thread about DNA splicing already exists (http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/dna-mixer.465/), however I am interested to see the creatures people would actually create, as opposed to suggestions as to how the game mechanic would work.

As nobody knows quite how DNA splicing would work, anything goes. You can make it hostile or friendly. You can make it fly, wak or swim. You can make it just a copy of something from another game if you really want. You can even have a magical pink and green gorilla that shoots pop tarts out of its eyes. Just be creative.

Let's see what you can come up with.

Well, you bring up interesting points here. If it were to be implemented, it would be interesting to see the kinds of things you can come up with. However, we're not even sure if it will be implemented, so let's not get overly excited.

 

This is true, but I suppose any people's ideas would still work as normal creatures within the game, even if DNA splicing is never implemented. However, there has been much speculation over the topic, and Tiy talked about DNA splicing and the release date setbacks at round about the same time, so it's feasible that DNA splicing could be part of the reason for the game's delay.

 

Oh. I wasnt aware that Tiy had addressed the topic of DNA splicing. So I guess we could say that or chances look good, but we're sill lost as to how in-depth it could be.

 

we might be able to splice a little bit...but a little bit still gives enough hope for the slime with legs.

 

Perhaps a Penguin, a very large penguin, with t-rex arms.

 

I would make a cross between a pop-top and a mindwurm.

Some sort of monstrosity with the head of a goat, the claws of a crab in place of arms, a turtle shell with the rear half of a trout in place of legs. Also it carries a polearm which is actually a giant stick insect that was trained by the cream of the crop of elite space warriors.

 

We need to get someone to draw all this stuff. xD
