RP DEPTHS: The old city.

He moves as fast as he can, not caring about avoiding a shard in the chest. "You trapped here too bud?" He asks with a nervous smile.

She stares back, more than a little scared, and shakily asks, "Where am I? What's going on?"

 

"Neither am I, but between the stranger and our medic, I'm going to save the one under my command. You're part of my team, just as Chlauri is..."

"If you save her, then good. But don't get your hopes up. You're a long way away..."

A single stalk peeks from around the corner...

A warbling grunt, before the harpoon flashes out...
The same one that stabbed you...
You think you should back away from the knife...

The creature runs a claw along your face, before its facial tentacles grow uncomfortably close...

 

"If they're going to get her, I'm going with them.."

 

He lets out a sigh. "Ok." He stops and worms his way back slightly. "That hurt you know... Could've just asked."

"Eeuuh..." She scrunches her face and considers biting. Ears rising and falling as she reconsiders.

 

"We'd best get moving, then." Simo tries to pinpoint the direction the scream came from, before heading towards it.

 

Richard follows quickly.

 

Malcolm looks at it.

 

"Insubordinate little... Fine... But if we're dead, our blood's on your hands..."
He starts heading back to the site where the elder thing and salzar were...

It withdraws and goes back to closing its eyes... The strange creature seems to have come to, but isn't moving beyond it's eyes looking about in confusion...

You can't move your head as the creature wraps its tendrils around the side of your head...
Its cold tongue worming its way into your ear...

As you are running past, you come across a trail of... You think it's blood, but you aren't sure...
Not red, thankfully, but it must have been from that of the elder thing...

It looks back, glaring at you...

 

He looks after him at that remark, then turns back after Simon and Sasha, a little more slowly this time but follows still.

 

He glances at the creature before looking for a way to the knife that wouldn't take him across the glass. "Why is no one talkative?"

She hisses and tries to pull away, failing. Maybe she can close her ears off on command? It's always been instinctual before.

 

Sasha looks over the 'blood' stain, concerned about where it could lead.

 

Bryon looks at his surroundings...sh-should he go off in search of Demina? He would consider a her a close friend...he doesn't want another friend to die.....he shakily gets up....He heads off...shaking as he looks for Demina's last traces

 

You note the streak of blood and absence of the salzar and thing...

The creature looks around a bit, before making an odd sound in your direction,
before a harsh "CROAK!" from the frog-lizard-fish-whatever shuts them up...

The streak turns into more of a trail of blood drops... Sklod follows up behind, glancing at the trail, and then bolting after it...

You note her footprints, as well as Malcom's...
"If we're going after them, our best bet would be to go as a group..."

 

Bryon nods
" C-c-c-can we go as a-a group? I...I want Demina to st-stay alive...."

 

With no better leads, Sasha follows this trail, with Simo sticking close.

 

Malcolm regards the creature, then fires three shots in the air, never taking his eyes off the eye.

 

He looks from one to the other with one eyebrow raised, "So they get a shout and I get a hole? Rude." He starts worming his way towards whatever looks most like an exit, shivering between movements.

She starts to panic, 'No! Anywhere else... Please!' She tries to think of her pack, something, anything comforting.

 

Richard follows as fast as he can after the trail.

 

You hear the gunshots of Malcolm again...
"Sounds like he needs help..."
"Let's go then..."
"I'll wait for sklod here..."

Of course, it occurs to you that this is most certainly the trail of the elder thing and the salzar, and not demina, and leads in a different direction.

It continues glaring at you... Looking you over like it's trying to decide whether to trust you or not...

'THUNK'
The harpoon embeds itself in the wall next to your head the moment you start trying to move for the stairs...
You can hear the muffled screams of Demina in the floor above...

You come to some time later... The illlithid is now accompanied by a Mi-Go...
"Now then... Now that the language barrier is not a problem anymore, onto business..."

You are now following sasha and simo. Sklod is surprisingly fast in that armor of his...

 

Still, without a trail, Sasha was a little limited on this endeavour. He and Simo search for some trace of Demina; Simo listening for sounds, Sasha keeping his eyes open for tracks.
