Crash on loading saved file

    I know the game is notorious for crashing, but I personally have never had it crash until now. I cannot load my most recent saved game, it enters "loading..." then a blank white screen and StardewValley.exe has stopped working. My other three saved files load fine. Any ideas?

      I have same thing, day 14 of winter year three, over a hundred hours. Old save games load fine, just the one I have saved recently crashes.

        I made a short guide for some Steam users, but I can help fix your files directly if you're not comfortable modifying the saves.

        Basically, you can copy over the preferences from a working save file into the one that's crashing.

        Save file locations:
        Windows: %AppData%\StardewValley\Saves\
        OSX: /Users/yourusername/.config/StardewValley/Saves
        Linux: ~/.config/StardewValley/Saves/
