Kamina was a biggun, no-one expected it or saw it coming, but it was a real kicker and really, really good way to move the story forward.

Really though, the one that particularly impacted me was a character at the the Fist of the North Star, gonna write in a spoiler:

It was Raoh's death
He's the main Antagonist of the series and when you look at his story he did some really bad stuff, but he wasn't actually really evil
There wouldn't be a Fist of the North Star without him

 

You're probably not a child if you think of it that way, so where's the problem? :^)

To add my own example, Madoka Magica somehow manages to use every variety of character deaths (Sudden, Heroic, Tragic etc.) and pull each one off incredibly well. And as a result I can still vividly remember them all.

You forgot to mention this is a hentai/ecchi group. That changes everything.

 

I just find it mildly amusing that one of steam's largest representing groups is that, especially with the whole fiasco about anime tiddies on steam a few weeks ago.
