I was growing up in that time, but the shitstorm didnt really start up until the big school shooting, which they ofcoarse blamed on Doom. Its ironic, now the main target game is GTA

I can't really say Doom influenced violence as much as GTA. The gamers back then were playing a lot of fantasy titles that made no sense but GTA is based on the human world telling children that this, in fact, happens in real life. Aight? Get what I mean?

the problem now is that they are looking, its no longer just this one troubled person. You read about teens that die from hunger or dehydration, or lack of bloodflow cause they dont move from their marathon of gamings, or beating childrens heads in with a controller caus they wont shut it, or like this one. while any sane person would look at this handful of maybe a few thousand out of the entire population of gamers, its not usually that way in media.
and theres a whole new can of worms right there. The media. How long has it been since we had real journalists?

So... In FTB Retro I turned my lava to obsidian before I could learn it in my transmutation table... I converted a lot of the lavafall into cobble and mined all that, and I think I can beat it without lava. Unless I missed a goal that needs lava. But I think I'm fine! I don't think I'll need a second life!
