Early 2000s forums are interesting.
I came across a link to a thread in the CIV forum from 2002 and had a bit of fun reading through nearly 20 year old conversations.
Come to think of it, some of our conversations will be almost 10 years old within a few years.

Also, despite all the post dates being 2002-2004 I came across a megumin profile pic.

The worst thing about old forums is that half of the time the solution (to the problem you search for) has already expired years ago.

The most cursed thing is definitely expired Photobucket/Imageshack images, that for example were part of guides and tutorials

 

I'd still argue the most frustrating is:

Op: "Nvm, I solved the issue. Thread closed." - Feb 2008

I realized there was an xkcd for this after I typed it out, but I ran into exactly that scenario around 2015 and was upset about it for days.

At least there's a text under the images that explains what to do in most cases... It's still a pain though.
I never liked Imageshack, they removed a lot of my files that were still in use.
