Bug/Issue can't play the game.

i wanted to play starbound, as one does, using steam (not the unstable ver.)
i click play. the 'preparing to launch starbound' and 'select what you want to actually do' thing (play starbound, launch dedicated server, etc.)
it goes back to the 'play' function after 3 seconds of nothing.
i reinstalled it, i reset my computer and i just don't know how to fix it.
i'd send a screen recording but the site won't let me.
