This thread is for the mission "The Forgotten Temple" in the Canids Race mod. It is different than most missions in that it serves as an entertaining grinding opportunity. The mission takes the player to a temple devoted to a long-forgotten Avian god to collect Avolite Crystals from its hostile inhabitants. This thread is for your feed back regarding the mission. You are also allowed to simply discuss the mission in general.

Before you can start battling here you must first complete the "Great Sovereign Temple" story mission. Once you have cleared that the Canid scientist in the basement of the lab building should have a quest for you. Accepting his quest will give you the coordinates for the Forgotten Temple and the supply box. The supply box contains the Avolite Hazmat Armor set and a station for exchanging crystals at. It is required that you wear the full Avolite Hazmat Armor set otherwise you will suffer the lethal effects of Crystal Radiation Poisoning. Once you beam inside the temple you will only have a few seconds before the monsters come flooding in; ready yourself. (It is highly recommended that you do this with some friends.) The temple has only one way out, and that is a single teleporter in the center of the temple. The penalty for dying in the temple reflects your gamemode:

Casual. You keep your Avolite crystals but lose 10% of your pixels.

Survival. You drop the Avolite crystals and lose 30% of your pixels.

Here are the monsters you will encounter while fighting in here.

These are Avians that served as temple guards in life. The strange crystals seem to be giving strength to their bodies through their will or desires (their wills and desires being to purge intruders.) They are very slow but they do have a high attack power and large health. They are the most common enemy in the tomb.

These automatons are capable of moving through the walls to pursue intruders. When struck by an attack they will transform into a form of pure energy making themselves invulnerable to any attack. When in the energy state the seeker cannot harm you or even move. They can be difficult to keep up with when you are busy fighting other monster. An effective means of keeping them at bay is to hit them with an attack strong enough to deplete their health completely, a rocket launcher, energy javelin, or powerful hammer would do well against them. A weapon with high knock back also can keep them out of your hair, as you chip at their health.

You have seen these monsters before, when you explored the Great Sovereign Temple. These enemies are the same except that they have a greatly improved sighting range and will use that to try and shoot you from afar. A sniper rifle would probably do well to take care of them.

These massive hulking automatons are quite possibly your worst fear in this temple. They are immune to knock-back making it impossible to halt their march. Their punch attack is devastating but slow and short ranged. Try not to panic when you see one coming, there are some easy ways to dispatch with them. Attacks that deal large amounts of damage are effective in stopping them, my personal recommendation would be a bomb, energy javelin, or a weapon that inflicts a harmful status condition. Make sure that it does not cut off your escape route to the teleporter; his large size and powerful punch make him formidable in direct confrontation. If one of them gets too close to the teleporter you will have a difficult time escaping.
