Bushes.

I'm on the hilltop farm at the minute (firstly it's winter of year 2 and i hate it, bad decision - not enough farming space </3) and I know how to switch the map type in the save file but there's bushes at the top of the stairs opposite the house which simply will not go, is there anyway to get rid of these ugly, ugly bushes? pls, thank u xo

 

I believe bushes in the farm can be chopped down with a gold axe or better.

 

On the forest farm I removed them with the copper axe. (As far as I can remember.)

 

Thanks but I've tried it and it just wont budge.. how many times should I be hitting it? i've whacked it a solid 20 times to no avail!

 

Yeah, there are two each side of the steps that are permanent.

If you think land is scarce on the hill top, stay away from the River map. On my Hill Top save I was able to force in 5 fields with a total of 540 planting tiles. The River only has 4 fields with only 330 planting tiles.
