Outdated Avali Race Mod 0.12.4

For some reason my np++ doesnnt seem to recognize the files associated.

SCRATCH THAT, was trying to fiddle with the freshly unzipped file.

 

That shouldn't be a problem? Right click -> "Edit with Notepad++". Association doesn't matter if the shell extension was installed.

 

It helps to actually edit it outside of the Download folder. I figured it out ty.

 

I feel like a Coder now.... I got it to work!

 

holy crap, I'm gone for three days, and there's more than 20 posts and 4 updates... this proves I should never go on camps (sarcasm)

 

Heads up, planetgen.config was renamed to worldgen.config, so now Avali settlements aren't spawning. Sorry if this was already posted, though. A bit too busy to check.

 

That went under my radar, thanks for the info; blargh. Why do they keep making these arbitrary changes to wording (like changing the name of the sleeping action from "lay" to "sleep" and now "loungable" instead of interactable.

Not exactly, the upload took several minutes (as usual) due to Dad constantly using all my bandwidth. It's like living in the 56k era these days, he's permanently downloading stuff and refuses to give me proper access when "he needs it" because "it's only stupid video games".

 

I have a problem to report. I tried to use an avali character, but when I attempt to load a world, it freezes the game and crashes shortly after. I tried it with vanilla and other modded races, and they work fine, so it isn't a worldgen issue. I believe something is wrong in the Avali mod.

 

As it says on the front page I can't help fix bugs without the starbound.log file. >.<

 

Having a good connection makes thing much easier,
I have a very good connection that I can host a local server for games well.

 

Well that's very nice if you don't live in the back end of beyond. 2Mb wireless is the fastest connection I can get out there. And if dad spends all day downloading movies, that kind've puts a dent in my permanent upload/download speed

 

2mb upload is not bad, I used to have like 5mb down and 1 mb up.

Gotta live in your means, 50mbps is a lux and really I cannot tell the difference from 10mb from a 50 unless I am downloading files.
my new upload speed is nice but I managed without it for many years.

Anyway thanks for a very very awesome mod, I would gladly help out if there was a way or wanted.

I would speak of a vpn that actually made my upload and download faster but its a iffy thing .

Well, it seemed to be halfway there, it'sno longer jiggling on one side (but is on the other still) however, I can see how to resolve that now.

 

Ugh waiting on the Creative mod to update is so frustrating.

I also had an extra hairstyles mod installed so I suspect a number of worlds I'd visited are going to be crash-triggers now. I'm thinking I might just delete my universe and start over.
