There is Team VS Team, Head to Head and Co-op.
It's basically the same as single player however it's player with the most points wins (unless you set it to combo or accuracy.)

Feel free, but it's a lot. The site lets you download as much as you want, so you get get all the songs you want without having to grab the huge song pack. It's useful if you ever play multiplayer with me, though.

Yeah, and then we played for maybe four more hours or so after you left, it went really well after that.

Don't worry, lag/latency doesn't affect the multiplayer at all. Everything is client side for everyone.
