so far as ive realised that the defence stat isnt adding up correctly i think its just not adding up the different armours instead its taking the highest value and applying it

    Standard clothing gives you

    peasant shirt = 2 DEF
    merchant pants = 2 DEF

    Added DEF 4
    Actual DEF 2

    Copper Armour
    Copper Helmet = 1 DEF
    Copper Chestpiece = 3 DEF
    Copper Pants = 3 DEF

    Added DEF 7
    Actual DEF 3

I'm also seeing things adding up strangely, different combinations of items produce different results (and none of them show the correct armor/defense amount):

Wearing Copper Greaves (3) only = 2 Defense
Wearing Avian Commoner Shirt (2) only = 2 Defense
    Wearing Copper Greaves (3) + Avian Commoner Shirt (2) = 2 Defense
    Wearing Avian Commoner Shirt (2) + Copper Helmet (1) = 2 Defense
    Wearing Copper Greaves (3) + Copper Helmet (1) = 2 Defense
    Wearing All Three (3 + 2 + 1) = 3 Defense

I thought maybe it was only using the highest value, but you can see that's not the case when wearing Greaves (only giving 2 instead of 3). These are all in the actual armor slots too, not in the second cosmetic slots.

hmmmm thats quite interesting. i wonder what its doing instead? maybe averaging them out?

Agreed, I'm wearing 5+3+3 armour and only getting 4 armour rating. Adding just the +5 circlet only put it at 3 o_O Adding +3 chestplate puts it up to 4.

Armor is apparently less of an addition, but more of an average. It probably needs to be stated somewhere.

It really does, I was kinda disappointed to find out that getting the full copper set didn't help as much as I felt it should have.

you would think copper would protect you a heck of alot more then regular cloth

Got the same problem. I don't think it's supposed to work like this though. Probably a bug in armor calculation.

Any official line on this yet?
