The official Starbound wiki has the armors on something reminiscent of the Mannequin from Terraria. Such an item does not exist in the game. How does the Starbounder have them for displaying armor on, yet we regular players don't? (Also, can we get a Womannequin, which shows the armor on a female?)
Starbounder uses the mannequin from Starbound's own assets (which is used whenever you craft an armor for the tooltip display). This does not preclude having armor displays in-game, but this is a pretty common suggestion.
It'd be cool to be able to craft those. Also if you could make mannequins for armor, why not add weapon racks also? Y'know. You'd be able to hang your guns, swords or even shields on walls. When making an armoury - it would be a nice furniture and practical addition for your favourite weapons found while exploring galaxy.
