Are devs going to remove disabled items?

    I'm currently using disabled items to decorate my ship and house. so I'm really curious whether devs remove them or not.

    Naah, I don't think so
    Those are leftovers,mainly
    Even if they were removed, you can be sure one would make a mod to get 'em back

    Some "disabled" items are simply inaccessible through normal gameplay but still used in the main plot dungeons and whatnot.

    what about objects like 'small overgrown chest'?

    Officially, yes they will. They said as such when they removed the "homing projectile" and pissed a bunch of people off. But the reality is, it is uncommon for things to be outright removed.
