Any plan to improve already applied systems?

    I really love and respect devs' feat, but many Starbound contents might be considered "shallow".
    I mean features like NPC and monster AI, crew system, EASEL, fishing and etc. can be better.
    Of course, these things can be improved by installing mods.
    However, many mods suggest irreversible changes and could be incompatible with the next update.
    i know that devs work hard so don't want to burden them. I just want to know they planned it or not.
