RELEASED ABC Sanitizer. Not a Mod Really

A small tool used to get a report of errors from ABC files in a selected folder, nothing fancy.

It's written in C# under win8 so that might give people issues executing.

If the program gives no warnings and you still get an error running a song, pm me and tell me where I can get that song and I will make that my next target.

Since this is no official big company release you will probably get a crazy mount of warnings installing this.
Like Unknow publisher.
If you don't dare to install it, thats ok, I understand.
But the code is sane and does nothing wierd.


The tool now reports:
Error on whitespaces ( ' ' ) on field Q
Error with file name and the ABC file parsed on unhandled Exceptions.
Error when colon ( ':' ) is used in commen ('%')
Removed false positives from my tool.
Added more Exception feedback and abc file involved if any.

Will this mod give information on how to change the ABC file so it works with Starbound?

 

It doesn't do anything for me, no information shows at all.

 

Right now the tool know of one specific case, because thats the only problem I have had.
I should add an output if no errors are found as well, fixing that up right now!

If no errors are found and you have a file that still crashes the game, let me know where I can get hold of the file and I will make it my top priority to find and report the issue in the tool, as well as informing the user on how to solve the issue.

The new version is done, removes some false positives. It will be uploaded around 18:00 CET.

I will move the exception handling one step further out as well then...
Ah no, think this is part of the error i fixed this morning but haven't had time to publish yet.

Will be out this evening. But I will add an additional exception handler even further out "just in case"

Ok. This is wierd, if i run the release version from the debugger, it works, if i install it, it will give the same exception. When I installed it on my work computer it works.

 

Sorry for lack of updates the last few days, a lot with sickness and work, as well as going on a trip over christmas.
