A Generated Monster Every Friday!

Some Monsters are gonna be Pre-Made instead of procedurally Generated... Kitty Mechs could be easily among such Monsters... perhaps they'll be part of a Story Side Quest or some such as some kinda Mad Science gone wrong, or some such... Not everything in Starbound's gonna be 'all natural'.

 

Well, I like this thing better than Boar-troll and Jelly-axetail-troll. Looks like come kind of insect that gained biped mammalian traits, but still managed to keep part of the exoskeleton. I want one!

These monsters are pretty cool and very creative. Are they procedurally generated somehow? So that no two worlds will have the same wild life. Because that's even more impressive.

 

Yup, as the title says, these monsters are all randomly generated. Just one of the reasons we all love this game!

 

This may have already been discussed in detail, but I'm just wanting clarity. I heard that there will be a capture/taming feature in the game. And I know that everyone has "starter pets." But I also heard that there was going to be a breeding/farming feature. Does anyone know where there is any information on this? Or what the devs said exactly? I like the idea of having a herd of Banthas roaming around my compound.

 

I remember something about taming as well but I don't recall any details or even if it was going to be a confirmed feature.

It might be something slated for post-release.

 

I think they've confirmed it multiple of times that taming will be included as a post-release feature but don't quote me on that.

 

I remember similar except I can't remember if they said Release, Post Release, or if they even did specify a Time Frame. The Time Frame might even still be up in the air.

 

Now this is a monster, kind of a jelly like monster.
