Band geek of 7 years here so I apologize in advance for being stodgy...

Flutes do not sound like that. I realize you're working with cheesy digital synthesis, but that flute sounds like an Eb clarinet or something - it sounds reedy. Otherwise great work, but it just throws off this musician.

 

How about adding a theremin!

That was flipping EPIC! I loved both the end game portal songs. Awesome choice for your demonstration, good stuff

 

I can already tell that this feature alone will be used to create and cover songs like crazy. Good work so far!

y'know, now I expect there to be a band with groupmembers of several alien races in the game, giving concerts on certain planets under certain conditions xD

I didn't think about THAT, but that'd be neat. Wonder if there'll be NPCs you can hire to play songs in your house...
