    But sewer levels can be amazing, hell just look at "Conkers Bad Fur Day" they made The Great Mighty Poo and that was one of the most memorable parts of the game

    Think of it this way: Its all in the execution. In the grand scheme of things Starbound is thematically unoriginal in many ways; hence animal races with simple, clear cut technologies that mirror human ones, what appears to be something close to the single-biome planet approach to sci fi, and so on. Its in the tweaks and details that originality lies.

    Or to quote a friend,

    "How do you make something original? You take a cliche and you make it your own."
