Bug/Issue 10 heart event triggered for characters i only have 8 hearts with

I am only a couple years into this save file and I am not married and I'm not dating anyone, however I have played through the 10 heart events for both Sam and Abigail. I haven't been at 8 hearts with them for very long at all, so I doubt my friendship points have glitched to stack up invisibly beyond 8 hearts. I can't imagine any reason why this is happening? I have been at 8 hearts with Sebastian for a very long time and the 10 heart event has not happened. I don't mind seeing the heart events but I assume this shouldn't be happening.
Has anyone else had this glitch?
