I just found out I can host an 8 player Terraria server with little lag...

How did you get 8 people on that quickly? Each player slows down your PC a bit, which in turn slows down the server. Unless you tested, being able to run an 8-slot server is not worth much proof if you're alone.

 

Why do that, when I could be playing Terraria 1.2 and GTA V?
