And since it's a photo of a picture, the original is flipped horizontally (sometimes flipped pics can look odd because of that)

There's nothing wrong with looking at how someone else draws something and trying to draw it like that, you hadn't even drawn cats before, so looking at a reference picture was pretty smart :p
