I'd suggest you try a more challanging style.
It's obvious you're good at the Starbound style, but that's easy.

oh okay I got yeah! you mean like real pixel art. well sadly I have my style i'm not very good with big images...I like working with the small!

Do a sharkman, but try it from a new perspective. And give it a good 121x121 pixels.

Well yes, pixel art is an example of what I mean, but not necessarily that. That can be pretty extreme.

Trying other styles is the best way to improve you skills. They don't really need to be extremely difficult but it's good using other styles because you have to stick to their rules. For example JUS sprites may only have 2-3 shades for skin, 2 for hair not unless you need a highlight, and etc. etc. And if you can't find an actual list of rules you can just go about it by comparing the sprite you made to something from the same series and seeing if it look like it'd fit in that game by eye.
I started out spriting by remaking the entire King of Fighters and Tekken rosters in the Street Fighter Alpha style.

I don't know, I just think you could try something different. Starbounds' style is too simple.

what we have here is the new and improved terra shark race from right to left, Great White, Hammerhead, Whale Shark, Bull shark, and Tiger Shark.
