RP name: Bolt Class: Wisp. Why do you want to join: I want to join because this looks like a very nice and organized clan and it fits me a lot. Character history/ back story: Not really sure.
Also, Bolt is not an adequate RP name. Perhaps for Robots or Avians, but it really doesn't fit a Floran. See this post for inspiration.
I could see there being reasons. I mean, he could still have a fascination with machinery. And Robots could be one of the only races that don't mind the Florans, since they aren't made out of meat.
Why would parents name their kid after their kids future interest/talent? Oh wait, that's what happens in MLP...
Six paragraphs is more than an average high-school essay, that's a hell of a lot to ask for something that's just a bit of fun, I only wrote 4 because I tend to get in to writing. 6 is more than any RP clan or server application requirement that I've ever seen, it tends to be 2 big ones or 3 decent one. I would recommend changing your demand to him ASAP, before he decides he isn't bothered or actually takes the time to write 6 paragraphs.
I didn't mean like mlp naming, just that he calls himself Bolt or something. But who knows, maybe his parents like ponies?
I know, it's just something I thought of while typing. I just want the clans names to be as IC as possible. RP is all about your character, and calling someone by their username can make it easy to break character and ruin Suspension Of Disbelief. Make sure that you specify that if he goes for 2 they've gotta be big ones.
as i agree w/you, he might have been called bolt becuase he fiddled around w/machinery when he was a kid.
Also, it sets a bit of a double standard when you accepted pigrocket (who only wrote a 1 paragraph back story) and are now expecting Bolt to write 4. I think the application should be updated to: RP name: Class: Why do you want to join: Character history/ back story (2 big paragraphs (8 or 9 lines) or 3 or 4 decent paragraphs (5 or 6 lines) at a minimum): While we're on that note, you have me entered as a Ravenger, it's Ravager.
