    In general, though, don't spread information that you aren't sure is 100% accurate. :) Thanks.

    To elaborate more on the IP address thing:

    Say you're using an IP Locator like this one. You can type in an IP address and it'll come up with a bunch of information about which country the IP is located in, the state, and even the city. But that's not necessarily the city that person lives in, it's just where their IP is being hosted. The person using that IP address could be miles and miles away. And either way, you've just got a city-- certainly not a home address.

    Of course, if you've got a lot of personal information about yourself floating around the internet, someone Sherlocky enough could still piece things together and figure out a whole lot of things about you that you wouldn't necessarily want them to know.

    Which is why you should always be careful on the internets, kids~ :proper:
    But simply creating an account on a forum like this isn't going to put you in danger.
