What race will you be playing?

Hylotl, I'm just said we don't have the lore for them yet. Not because of their tie to Asian culture, just because the thought of playing something amphibious sounds awesome.

 

My thoughts exactly

 

Novakid, with their short memory and attention span they fit me perfectly

 

I'll probably be starting with human. Might go for a Novakid or Hylotl if I like their architecture.

 

I will play as human or novakid.

I will be playing Penguin.

 

I'm going novakid but It's just... I wish they'd change the name to something a little less storybook sounding.

 

At first, I planned on making a Florian because I have an infatuation with plant-people, because the concept is rarely used despite how cool it is. But after giving it some thought, I decided I'd rather make a Hyloti because I didn't really like the Florian culture, and I've always loved feudal Japan.

But now I'm considering a Novakid because I'm ahuge fan of JohnSu's art, and when I first saw the image on his dA (Long before I knew it was going to be in Starbound) I instantly fell in love with the idea of wild west energy beings. So overall...I have no idea anymore. I'd like it if they'd update th character creator so I can fiddle with the Novakids and see what I can make out of them.

 

I'll be playing Avian because they remind me of some of my favorite character design: The Rito Tribe from Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. So cool.

Also, Deman did a kickass job on the abridged background history that I saw, very engaging story despite the strong absolutist religion tilt.

 

No one likes Apex, it's so hard trying to be the few Apex in the game!

 

I'm going to be a Glitch because the overall design and origins appeal to me. Medieval robots are just a badass concept imo
