What is the use for the "Create Character" button?

    Hi, I just made an account on chucklefish forums and I was wondering what the use was for the create character button. I'm honestly too afraid to try it out myself without it doing something to my starbound game. Maybe I'm just paranoid but I want to be sure.

    It's basically a web-based character creator, albeit highly out of date seeing as it was made several years ago before 1.0. It's not directly tied to the game at all.
