Yeah, I think it still would look better without it. It contrasts a bit too much with how light everything else is on the sprite. Like, if the aura was blended a bit more with the blade it'd be fine possibly, but that's not really the case here.

 

Also if the aura were on all sides of the blade?

That miiight be possible, but due to the perspective angle I would probably screw it up haha.

 

Took a bit longer than I expected, but...

I never learned to draw perspective right, so every drawing is isometric for me

Could someone who knows how to draw black screens help me to make mine not suck?

Edit: Also, I just realized that the light is coming from the top left, so there shouldn't really be a reflection. Oops
