i guessyou're right for the dithering, i don't have an excuse for not using it, but for shading all of my works are in 4bit (16 color max) so when speacking about shade i'm stuck to 2/3 color like in this entry, and for this entry iwant a inconspicuous shadeing but in harmony with the form especialy for the face andthe joker's wand more shade on it, i think, will ruin my work .
Why i'm using only16colors? it's not a challenge, but, i'm still a noob, after 1 month and 3-4 more work like this i will select 32colors and start working with them, and maybe if i continue pixel art after 1year who's know? 64 colors?
(yes i'm only doing pixelart, cuz veteran amateur, and professionnal, estimate their work must get paid even if we, dev and game designer, work for free, so i do the graphic of our game too)

It always turns to pokemon because I happen to like them haha.
Also is there really a difference between doing a pokemon or doing an actual animal like a rabbit or whatever?

 

in a point of view fur&fluff no =) (and it's the principal feacture here so i can't critic/censure this choise)
pokemon are inspirated in majority by animals and environement
pikachu is inspirated by the american Pika an octonitadea who live in ... america

just don't draw a Bulbasaur,Charmander, but only fluffy or furry things =)

 

Can you give people things without it going straight into their library now?

If it works I guess I don't mind doing this, but I wasn't aware that you could give games to someone else for them to give away. It might just be easier for you to go ahead an hold onto them anyway.

( i like all form of art it's not a job for me there are no professionnal artist for me, it's a way, the way of the spirit and the body harmony, and i concider pixel art as a form of art like drawing or painting, so i respect you as an artist even you just start, and even i don't like you've done, at my eyes you're an artist )

edit: forgot i see you have no real difficulties to do a pixel art, if some of you can have a little time to waste explain in a little tutorial how you do that so fast(me for me it's very complicated to do that, it's appear simple,but it's not=)
i can create a tread who group all of yours mini tutorial and it will be fun and nice for the other artist =)
