The Magical Thread of Slimy Awesomeness

Those screenshots were taken on the day they hatched. I'm up to the 14th now, and didn't have to spend another evening chasing slime, thankfully.

As for when I was raising slimes before, I confess to not having a perfect memory of exactly what happened.

 

I have a full blown colony at the quarry. Had to fence them in so they wouldn't go jump in the lake.

 

I had to thin out my colony at the community center. The little buggers were everywhere.

 

Friends and fellow Slime enthusiasts, it's time to revive this thread with a new batch of slimy goodness. It's been peaceful in the valley, as a new crop of farmers finds their footing in a new life. But we've seen community centers repaired and farms made to thrive, and well...we're getting a little bored. Time to break out the purple incubators and begin a new era of slime farming in Pelican Town. Thus begins a new crop of squishy, slimy blobs to take over and wreak adorable havoc on the unsuspecting residents.

I've started things off at the train station with the very first egg, the humble beginnings of my Red Mountain Colony. More to come, very soon....

Just being curious: has any of you built a fence to prevent the slimes from being run over by the train?
It seems rather dangerous to let them roam free near the station. I can't imagine Joja stopping for slimy awesomeness

 

I have heard that the train just bonks them out of the way, but haven't witnessed it yet. Considering how they end up plastered all over the edges of the cliff on this map, I wonder if a fence could contain them!

 

I never even had any trains go through when I had my last colony up there, so I'm not sure. Maybe the train company decided the route wasn't safe anymore and abandoned it. lol

 

Gosh, I hope not. These little guys have a trunk all packed and just waiting for a train to pick them up at the station!

 

They've had enough of our spouses killing them, they're leaving!

 

Can one of you start a slime breed in Pierres shop if it is possible? I want revenge for every aerobic tuesday there was.

The third from the left looks like has some kind of big and crazy eye. I think I like him.

 

What I have unleashed is awesome and I deserve a Nobel Prize in slime physics.

 

You and me both, I bred them in the Photoshop lab after all. lol

 

Ugh, the actual sprites for the Slimes are so, so very tiny. I just tried to edit some actual paisley onto them and it cannot be made large enough to be visible as anything but a smudge. Trying to make a paisley pattern on something which is literally 14 X 14 pixels at the largest is an exercise in frustration. (Plaid also seems rather out of reach. A bland checkerboard pattern might be possible, though!)

 

I started a little slime family in the cage next to the Comunity Center (I mean...it is a cage for slimes, isn`t it?). There are 5 slimes right now (one is a bit shy) and they are breeding....one already escaped, but I killed it quickly. Don`t want to spread them everywhere.

 

That'll make a lovely petting zoo for the children.
