One of Greenfinger's notes in the Codex when mentioning Earth said 'How did it escape' or something along those lines.

Humans had their planet destroyed. Florans, while primitive, can be educated as proven by this and this. Hylotl can obviously fight if provoked, otherwise the Florans wouldn't hate them as much and see them as regular prey. Avians can be very advanced, but Kluex is getting in the way for most of the population. Players are not affected by said restraint. The Apex are being oppressed by Big Ape, but the player flees and has the option to ignore the brute. Glitch are robots; with the right research, they could learn how to disable pain, and conquer.

In a way there, you're wrong: It's not just fish- or bird-people, it's fish- or bird-people, meaning that they could birth like mammals.

Back on topic, humans are probably going to be wiped out if they can't take their planet back. Look at the number of bunker-raids daily.

Given the large number of enemies, non-existent number of allies, and sheer depletion of manpower, I would say that Humanity is, at the moment, screwed.

 

Human bases tend to have posters of a Ape with a caption (I think it's "there is no need to be upset). Possibly a collaboration with the human military as you see these everywhere.

Of course, if this was established before the fall who knows what it's supposed to do now.

 

I've always assumed the posters are there just because the humans are obsessed with memes.

There might actually be some kind of military alliance mentioned in the lore, though. (Nothing I can find on the wiki, however.)

 

When you inspect them you get confusion from your character. It is a obvious nod to a. meme though.

 

My bet is that the Apex bought out some of the USCM bunkers. I doubt that the United Systems are actually allied with the Apex, they're cruel (Well, their 'government' is)

 

You don't have to ally yourself with a faction to "partner" up though. Also it would be strange if the Apex bought out every bunker in existence (at least for now, maybe more structures will be added).

 

True, they might be helping each other for the sake of assistance in terms of resources, I suppose it would be good for humanity to have a staircase to go up to get on the same level as the other species, since they're relatively new to the other races and the galaxy at large.

 

I cannot find any evidence in game that the USMC is officially allied to any alien species. As far as I know, they are strictly human.
If I recall, they have a new policy regarding Alien Life that can allow, under dire circumstances, to recruit Aliens, but while they can probably hire them out individually like mercenaries, it is extremely unlikely that the USMC is allied with any major Alien Faction. Officially.

 

Considering Greenfinger's Codex, Humans and Apex being allied seems well out of the realm of possibility.

It's really just a reference.

 

Of course it's a reference. But if it was not meant to be taken into account lorewise the player character would respond in a humorous way.

 

Lorewise, humanity is new to the universe as a whole and is considered whimsical.

They're not gunho toting badasses. They're stragglers of a world that got screwed pretty hard by another race's experiment that got loose.

 

I never said they are not so my point still stands. Nobody knows the origins of the tentacle beast.
