I'm new to modding and I've been able to follow thus far with minor item mods and such. I got curious about the player files so I decided to create a new character and open the files from the player folder in notepad++. Opening them resulted in the screenshots below. I don't really understand what those symbols/words mean so I thought it would be better to ask for some assistance rather than accidentally breaking something.
