I like how the character it self produces no light. This does create a much more unique situation. But really great you decided to move status effects to LUA based. The old system would have been an anchor to the potential of the game.
I absolutely NEED that hat! ... Huh? yea yea put that item in the game whatevs, but *I* must have dat mad hat!!!
A new lighting system, as well as new items to make interesting light effects, is a great idea. I recommend more of these effects in some light items as well as settings for each light if possible.
Can a normal block (like dirt) trigger a status effect, or only "objects"? I ask because opening it up to normal terrain would allow for tremendous possibilities for fun & weird biomes. I definitely think we bouncy worlds are a must-have!
Slightly off-topic: Is it just me, or any character I create will now spawn in the same universe? Because I made a new character and found my old character's inventory intact in the starter mineshaft.
Moderately unsettling for myself to know the song is a variation of one from The Little Mermaid... Anyway, I am also curious as to what the rework for healing items entails. Looking forward to seeing it moved into the nightly.
