Ocean Pictures!

So, Ocean worlds. Normally when you remove a background block, water drains out through it, yeah? Perhaps on Ocean worlds, below sea level (and above the ocean floor) water would flow INTO the world through missing background...

 

potential infinite water blocks? or are these just really big lakes that will mess up easily?

 

I don't think there'd be a problem with infinite water on ocean worlds, honestly.

 

as long as most areas are above sea level so that the whole world doesnt get flooded and
slow down your computer to a crawl and as long as the world itself is not infinite
it should be fine, that or you could patch up the background below sea level to something other than ocean

 

Hmmm not to make a beach base.....so many wonderful locations. it's hard to choose just one.

 

I'm really excited for ocean environments. There is just so much you can do with them, considering you can run it both horizontally an vertically in a 2D platformer like this. Especially since oceans have some of the most diverse life on Earth, and can just be beautiful to look at. I would really love to see what an ocean would look like on an alien planet.

I'm going to make a little house near the ocean when the game comes out and I'll guard it with a shotgun and explosives...

 

I'll just bury a crust-cracker under the house, and if anyone captures it... I'll blow them into orbit!

my main "armory" will likely be underwater now. as in, deep under an ocean and surrounded by a thick shell of magma as well.

 

Or you could just build it in a lava ocean.

Sweet now there's 3 types of sand! Keep up the good work, it's looking awesome!

Though I am a bit confused how a sand cave exists.
