Ocean Pictures!

This is probably my favorite biome. A planet that is basically a giant beach like zoidberg's planet! I also like the idea of very deep oceans that requires you to use a submarine or other vehicles to traverse the depths. (Instead of being easily able to swim up) They could make it so the the planet has less caves so it can be more deep.

 

I love the little rays of light seeping through the surface of the ocean.
It's simply mesmerizing.

 

The fact that there are no oceans and yet I am a hyotl lover is quite depressing. I would love the developers to add oceans in so that my racial armor ability, breathing underwater and swimming faster, will finally come in to use. Boats are good to for all the landlubbers.

I can't wait for ocean biomes to finally make it in game, you can already add ocean planets to the mix if you are good with file editing, but they are a bit bugged and grow trees at the bottom of the ocean.

 

I cant wait for ocean biomes with hyotl villages and other structures.

 

What happens if I dig through the ocean floor to the liquid center of the planet? Can I drain the entire ocean?

 

When you mix lava and water does it make an obsidian block? I've never tried. I know you could drain oceans in Terraria digging a hole all the way to hell, but in this case the majority of the planet is water with islands and there is no hell, so there's no real place for the water to go.

 

Nope. In this game, the water hits magma and disappears.

 

Normally I scoff at reviving the dead, but in this case, as I'm an ocean addict and part mermaid anyhoo...

I've drained underground water into the lava - I think lava has to hit water to make obsidian.

I always thought that was why oceans and other large bodies of water weren't implemented yet - they still need a way to keep the oceans where they belong. You could drain the oceans and piss off all the Hylotl, sparking a full-on fishman uprising.

"Fishman Uprising" would be a pretty good band name.

This one reminds me of an island I started on in Minecraft...just without the tree.

 

Gah, I want this so badly. This is where I'd build my base for sure...
