I'd like to see a demo of a huge explosion at the bottom of the ocean, so we could watch some mega-settling, and see how well it works.
Been looking forward to oceans for a long time - especially because I like the boat you can craft. > I guess it's not hard to tell what other game I'm excited about. Sometime ago it was mentioned that bosses will no longer be mandatory for progression? I'm interested to know if alternative methods of obtaining upgrades and starmaps are still planned because there has been a lot of demand to make the bosses more like terraria and given the trends of some other updates, I'm inclined to think it'll eventually be that way because I guess the devs like hard games as much as the rest of the community does. I didn't like terraria's combat at all - absolutely nothing about it. I hated the bosses especially because they could kill NPCs and generally made a mess of my house and made it impossible to settle in certain biomes. (At least starbound, unlike terraria, has a big enough map that my idiot cousin can't repeatedly spawn the metal bosses right outside my door because what is courtesy?) I just see that request a lot and I can't help but feel apprehensive that once again the majority will screw me over and I'll have to get other people to do things for me on servers and I'm really more of a DIY person. I'd just like a way to advance that doesn't involve spending 2 in-game days doing the fight and kite around a boss that will disappear if I die and make me have to craft its summoning item again. That was such a nuisance in terraria. I had better things to do with those materials.
I remember terraria bosses being incredibly difficult the first couple times i tried to kill them and then became much easier, so they were farmable. I really liked that method because it actually felt like I was progressing. I needed to keep improving. There was always a point where I was farming one boss but not good enough to beat the second boss, and I kept getting better till I could beat the next boss and the first one wasn't even an issue.
Yes, I was illustrating a different viewpoint for the boss fights, just to explain why they might want to adopt some of terraria's methods.
As I said before, I don't care if they adopt some of those points as long as I don't have to put up with it.
I'm waiting so hard for all the changes that I read about. For the wipe and a new expirience with the game. The 100 hours I have put into the game will be dwarfed by the amount of hours the richer game will provide. New bioms, new colectibles, quests, and so much more.... I'm ready

do we even have starmaps on nightly anymore? like. in the next update, will we have to go to beta, gamma, omega, so on?
Looking at the diffs, is copper armor being moved from pre-tier one to a biome set or is that a completely different set of copper?
There are no sectors anymore. All planets are in solar systems in the same universe Wait that actually works?!
What i am hoping to see (in the future) are more variety in shield generators - Avian generators, Novakid generators, Florian generators (cobbled together from other species' tech) strange, ancient generators from a time before history that have somehow managed to stay working after all these many millennia.
Oceans = Hylotl! I'm really excited to see our Hylotl friends getting ready to have their new homes! (I'm also really excited of seeing everything you guys are going to put in the oceans!)
Anything that matches the dungeonID it is spawned on. The rest is automatic. Check the dungeon files.
Man, all the new features look really damn good! I especially love the ability to remove liquids (that'll make getting rid of acid way easier) and the Ocean biome sounds promising. I'm really enjoying this game, and I can't wait for the next full update. I might try the nightly test builds, but considering my laptop is a piece of crap I'm not sure it can handle the constant need to update the game. Speaking of, there are a few things I wish could be added, namely an expanded list of graphical options, such as disabling weather effects, because when certain weather types (namely fog) kick in it can cause massive slowdown to the game (as I myself have experienced), and the biggest one this game needs is the ability to actually PAUSE the game. Hell, just give me a friggin' pause button and I'll be happy for a long long time.
