Novakid- New starbound race

Good question, but don't worry. It's been said several times by Tiy that DLCs are part of the original purchase, it's not stuff you have to purchase after the main game. One purchase, free updates.

I'm torn between Avian and Novakid.


I really want to be an Avian so I can look like a pelican!

 

Well, I pretty much post here in the forums only once every month and this is it for my April:

I really wanted to be Floran! I had a whole story for Astro, but now I'm rethinking it all because this race is too awesome.
Must... resist... ditching... Astro... completely...

Umm... Astro will still be my awesome main character... but then he'll meet a Novakid... and... and...

So... congrats on getting a race co-made by you implemented!
Also, if you care at all:

 

Astro finds the Novakid being attacked by a hungry mechabear in the woods of Novaduum and rescues her from certain demise! She quickly becomes attached to Astro as is the way with the frenetically paced Novakids and as she follows him around on his harrowing journey an unbreakable bond of inter species love forms!

You could write fanfiction and call it "50 shades of the Cosmos". Have fun trying to explain the more intimate mechanics to science buffs.

Honestly I can't tell Novakid [suggestion] from Novakid [actual to-be ingame race]; they're actually quite different.

 

don't forget the part where they become marooned in a space island where they both become mad and start talking to their shoes and anti-gravity svolleyballs

I honestly wasn't expecting a western theme for energy beings, but hey, it's pretty cool regardless.*Now if we can get a reptilian/dragon race....*

me neither, but i enjoy the western theme; something about wearing a poncho and riding a hover bike across a dessert just...catches my attention

 

Being energy people, they're going to glow, right?

That would be pretty awesome.

 

that would be a class perk, their armor might have an energy buff and glow though.
