I took off my wig, but I still have it. It hisses at me sometimes.

 

Is there a reference image for the pixel version?

 

Probably only 1 entry. It was only 1 for the armor armor contest.

 

Also Saal, I miss your cat picture. It's hard to recognize you now.

I'm now a cat with the blue wig, dressed in Red Mage clothes. In disco pose, like a baws.
I always thought of that thing, but I was too lazy to properly draw it.

 

You look like an odd minstrel. Also I failed to take notice that you were the one with the Gumi pic in your sig. GUMI! YES!

How about posting requirements faster?

 

Usually, references are sort of 'eye catchers' in terms of contests. Since they are references to games big and small, it is likely that people will recognize it more than other original pieces. Think of it as freebies.
Example:
Person 1: Ohai guize look at my PORTAL GUN ARMOR
Audience: AMG ITS PORTAL STUFF AOGMAOGMAGOMOGMOMGOMG

Person 2: Ohai guize look at my shampoo armor WITH conditioner
Audience: -too busy drooling over portal gun armor-
Person 2: :C

But, in this case, it's judges, so recognition from other people won't matter that much.

I don't know. References are still nice, however.

 

It's just I find regular vanity stuff like pants and shirts REALLY BORING.

But I get what you're saying though.
Really, the more I think about it, I suppose that references wouldn't make that much more of a difference.
I'll just watch and see what happens.
