I wondered whether it would be possible by establishing the base on the planets, to placean NPC equipped to stand guard at the base, while the base was attacked by monsters.Not like a tower defense, but the same logic.
As in Cortex Command.

One of the planets is apparently from Planet of the Apes.

Are you talking about the ape person? Cuz that's one of the devs.

I hope we can have NPC guards, but yeah, that monkey is Rho.

 

Yes, the ape guy is a dev. But in single player, can we have npc to guard base? I am not a multiplayer fan. in Cortex command, we give some orders and the AI is automated. They get gold and resource, guard and patrol an area.

 

I cant help but worry I'll end up forgetting where I put my NPCs ... "Now which outpost did I leave Steve on again?"

 

It'd be nice to be able to put Archers and Warriors in the bases, so that if there was an attack you'd have some back-up.

 

That bunny looking thing on the right seriously creeps me out.
It looks like one of those cuddly things you walk up to because you just have to pet it, but then suddenly he opens his mouth super wide and rows of fangs are seen right before he pounces at your throat.

 

In your space station you will have NPC's to complete various but specific tasks in your base.
I guess like research, engineering etc.

I guess it is possible that you could have one for defence, but we can not be sure.
