Instead of having only floating islands, how about make islands that have base ground attached from the island top to bottom of the ocean? Possible to spawn only in huge planets, since they can make Lava and Poison oceans much easier to access othervise.
well with poisen ocean planets I dot Advise you to drink Antidote makes you immune from poison for 5 minutes. http://starbounder.org/Poison_Antidote Bio sample you'll find on Allien planets however Lava Oceans are quiet challange becouse Fire Resistance spay may comes to next update but there is other way get to bottom of magma ocean if you have 2000 or more dirt blocks or other blocks you don't use, you make tunnel\pit to bottom like I did, do first , 6 blocks wide start with background first then for ground and holow it out very very careful do it slow and take your time on first time, if you mess up and die its hard and time consuming to fix your Tunnle/pit
